Figeroux & Associates is seeking a seasoned Bankruptcy Paralegal.

Duties:

  • To assist attorneys in the preparation of pleadings, motions, and stipulations for court filing as well as correspondence with clients, adversaries, and courts.
  • To organize and track the status of cases and assist in the management of attorney court appearances and motion calendars.
  • Must have good writing and communication skills, in-depth knowledge of legal terminology and principles and the ability to analyze legal documents for accuracy.
  • Must have the ability to prioritize and work under tight deadlines, with the ability to multi-task and proficiently handle a high volume workload.
  • Must have the aptitude and ability to learn a variety of office computer systems.
  • Must be an organized and diligent worker able to work cohesively with others.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of litigation paralegal experience required. Knowledge of NY Bankruptcy courts and court procedures is a must.

 

Ideal candidates will have demonstrated a high level of independence and legal acumen with a friendly demeanor. Bachelors degree required, and paralegal certification a plus. Compensation to commensurate with experience.

Marketing Associate

Figeroux & Associates is an established law firm with an office in Brooklyn, NY. We are seeking a Marketing Associate to join our team. We are recognized as one of Brooklyn’s Best Places to Work by the Consumer Advocate.

The Marketing Associate is responsible for the execution of aggressive marketing programs reporting directly to the Director of Marketing. This position involves working with the firm’s attorneys to develop strategic business development and communications plans to achieve new business revenue and build the firm’s practice areas.

Day to day activities entail working in an extremely fast-paced environment marketing complex areas of law. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating new business revenue due to their efforts and will work in a goal-oriented environment.

Job Duties:
  1. Create and implement strategic marketing plans that will generate new business for the firm’s attorneys.
  2. Develop strategic business development plans and work with attorneys individually with their business development strategy.
  3. Assist with generating prospects and leads for possible sales.
  4. Identify, plan, coordinate, and manage legal webinars, seminars and events that will generate new business.
  5. Coordinate and develop specialized electronic communications.
  6. Write and develop letters, web content, press releases and practice area brochures.
  7. Write and develop regular updates to be posted onto the firm website and social media, including attorney bios, practice descriptions, client alerts, etc.
  8. Assist with planning and procurement of speaking engagements.
  9. Develop client acquisition/retention strategy development and tactical planning.

 

Qualifications and Experience:
  1. Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree.
  2. Must be a self-starter, pro-active and able to take the lead on tasks with minimal direction.
  3. Experience in a law firm is not required.
  4. Must possess very strong legal writing skills and have the ability to grasp and interpret legal concepts.
  5. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  7. Experience in Microsoft Office suite.

Receptionist

The Receptionist is responsible for the professional and efficient managing of visitors, clients, telephone calls and messages, as well as a variety of clerical duties that support client and visitor services and the operation and presentation of a professional office. Evaluates and prioritizing incoming telephone, voice mail, e-mail and in-person requests for assistance from clients experiencing problems, requesting information, scheduling or requesting assistance from the firm’s attorneys, office support staff or management team. Day to day activities entail working in an extremely fast-paced environment.

Job Duties:
  1. Promptly, accurately, professionally and courteously receives telephone calls and greets visitors. Ensure that clients’ needs and issues are resolved and customer service goals are achieved on a daily basis.
  2. Promptly, accurately, professionally and courteously assesses received calls/inquiries and directs and/or records and relays messages.
  3. Adept at using all features of the telephone system and voice mail.
  4. Signs for deliveries when necessary and notifies recipients.
  5. Exhibits genuine concern for clients and visitors and always conducts oneself appropriately and professionally.
  6. Performs routine office tasks necessary for the operation and presentation of a professional office as directed by the Director of Client Relations.
  7. Offer client and business contacts refreshments.
  8. Ensure that the conference rooms and reception space maintain a professional image.

 

Qualifications and Experience:
  1. High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  2. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  3. Ability to write simple correspondence.
  4. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the firm.
  5. Knowledge of Internet Explorer, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Word.

Job description: 

The Client Relations Associate will communicate with potential clients in a friendly and knowledgeable manner to create a positive first impression with potential clients. The Client Relations Associate is responsible for selling law firm consultations to potential new clients that have contacted the firm. The ideal applicant must be a self-starter and have experience delivering results in a sales-oriented environment.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Achieve sales goals on a weekly/monthly basis.
  2. Educate potential client of the firm’s attorneys and legal services offered.
  3. Create positive and lasting first impressions with potential clients.

 

Job requirements:

  1. Prior successful sales experience.
